Our extract partner-supplier reclaims rejected fruit after the sorting process. These "non-standard" fruits are discarded by the agri-food business, then reclamed to produce avocado peptides. In this way, Clarins and its partner develop a circular and sustainable economy to produce the avocado peptides. Indeed, our partner prioritizes the supply of avocadoes from remote valleys with difficult access, located on the Pacific coast and foothills of the Andes or the Amazon. This helps boost the local economy, for example by giving small producers access to the banking system thus minimizing the need to move around large amounts of cash. It also helps to curb the exodus of local communities (by creating jobs, etc.).
